India is the county of youth about 60 percent of our country population is under age of 25. But the India has lack of skilled manpower due to our education based on mainly theoretical. To boost the skill manpower Government of India launched Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikash Yojana (PMKVY). This is the skill development programme of central government for standardization of skill development. Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched on 20 March 2015 on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day.
About the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikash Yojana
The government aims to provide training of one crore youth under the scheme by 2020. The Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to make India a Skill Capital of World. Under the scheme, the government aims to provide skill training in soft skills, Entrepreneurship, Financial and Digital Literacy. The government also provides placement assistance after successful completion of training.

Objective of the Scheme
The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship run and monitor the scheme. The main objective of the scheme is creating the opportunity for youth via skill development. The government provides skill training in the relevant field where individual youth interested in the better future of the youth. Under the scheme training is giving in three categories Short-Term Training, Recognition of Prior Learning and Special project training.
How to Apply for Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikash Yojana
- First, go the official website of Kaushal Vikash Yojana official website http://www.pmkvyofficial.org/Index.aspx
- Fill all detail such as Name, Address, and E-Mail.
- Choose the field for training as you like.
- Choose the nearest training center and click the submit button.
This is a flagship scheme of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Under the scheme, the government provides industry relevant skill training for the better livelihood of youth. Prior learning experience or skills training and certificate to the related training will be also provided under the scheme. The Government of India allocated budgets 12,000 crores for the scheme.

- Select Find the Training Centre in the left side of Menu as given in the below image
- A new page will be open as shown below
- Select the categories State, District, Sector and Job Role
- After selecting the required information click on Submit button.
