Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Har Ghar Yojana – (Sobhagya Yojana)
Once again, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a new scheme with the goal of providing the basic amenities of poor people in the society. On Monday, September 26, 2017, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started the scheme under the name “Sobhagya Yojana” under the “Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Har Ghar Yojana”.
This scheme was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay on Monday. The purpose of this scheme is to electrify the villages in different areas of the country who are living without electricity.
This scheme is launched with an aim to provide electricity in every village. This scheme has been started especially for the poor people under which the urban and rural people can be raised. After coming in form BJP government. The central government has electrified 14,000 villages.
The special feature of this scheme is that the government will give free electricity connection while other people will have to pay Rs. 500. In order to provide free electricity connection, the government will poor people on the basis of SECC–2011 data.
- The applicant must have Aadhar Card
- The applicant must have BPL Ration Card
- The applicant name should be registered in SECC-2011 Data.
As per the plan, the government has targeted to electrify all the houses by March 2019 under Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Har Ghar Bijli Yojana. Besides, the government will also give exemption on equipment like transfarmer, meter and electric wire.
The first priority will be given to the states like Jammu and Kashmir, North-East States, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha.
